A USB flash drive can make transporting your presentations easier and make it more convenient to give your presentations in general. When you use a USB drive to store your presentation, you can use your presentation on any computer that has a USB drive and the presentation application software on it. This can make carrying around laptop computers and projectors unnecessary. Saving to a USB drive is not difficult, but there are steps you need to take to make sure you do it right. Instructions 1 Save your presentation to a folder in your hard drive that you can easily access later. 2 Shut down your computer, insert the USB drive into an available USB port and restart your computer. If you have Windows XP or later, you don't need to shut down your computer to insert the USB drive. 3.Click "Start." By using the "All Programs" link you will be able to go to the "Accessories" icon. From there, choose "Windows Explorer." 4 Choose the location of your file from the list of folders on the left side. One of the easier ways to find files is to either create a folder just for presentations, or save the presentation to your desktop. 5 Open the folder that contains the presentation file. 6 Left-mouse click on the presentation file and hold down the mouse button. You should be able to move the file folder around on the screen. Keep the button pressed down; wherever you release the button is where your presentation copy will wind up. 7 Locate the USB drive in the list of available drives in the same list that you used to locate the file; drop the file into the USB drive. 8 Click the USB drive to make sure the file is there. 9 Click on the USB removal icon in the system tray at the bottom of the screen and remove your USB drive. usb flash drive china
